§ 34-2. Assessment of court costs and bond estreatures for law enforcement education and training.

  • There is assessed by the city in compliance with F.S. § 938.15 an additional $2.00 as a court cost against every person convicted for a violation of a state penal or criminal statute or a municipal or county ordinance, in any proceedings, except for violations relating to parking of vehicles, in the county court. Two dollars shall be deducted from every bond estreature or forfeited bail bond related to such penal statutes or ordinances for any offense, except those relating to the parking of vehicles. Such funds, as levied and assessed as additional court costs or taken from the bonds, shall be used exclusively for law enforcement education degree programs and training course expenditures.
