§ 58-33. Parking space for certain disabled persons.

  • (a)

    Pursuant to F.S. § 316.1955, F.S. § 316.1964(8) or any amended or successor statute, no person shall stop, stand, or park any vehicle in, or obstruct, any designated disabled parking space on public property, unless such vehicle displays a disabled parking permit or a license plate issued pursuant to F.S. § 316.1958, 320.084, 320.0842, 320.0843, 320.0845, or 320.0848, or any amended or successor statutes, and such vehicle is transporting the person to whom the displayed permit is issued.

    (b)

    Any person who is chauffeuring a person who has a disability is allowed, without the need for a disabled parking permit or a special license plate, to stand temporarily in any such parking space, for the purpose of loading or unloading the person who has a disability.
